In 1993, This Boy Was Born With Enough Skin For A Five-Year-Old. But Wait Till You See Him Today

Throughout the years, many heartwarming stories have touched our hearts, but the one about Tomm Tennent is one of a kind.

When he was born, Tomm had excessive skin. As a matter of fact, he had enough skin to cover a 5-year-old boy instead of a newborn. He was delivered so wrinkled that doctors said they had never seen anyone like him before.

“When he came out I was quite shocked (…) I didn’t think a human, or a little baby, could ever look like that,” Geoff Tennent, Tomm’s dad told 60 Minutes Australia in 2003.

Since the day of his birth, the Tennent family had quite a journey growing up with their unique boy, but when you see him today, it’s hard to keep your tears…

A unique child

When Tomm was born in 1993, the family realized that he was going to be one of a kind.

But before birth, they didn’t know the boy would come in this world described as a medical mystery. However, ultrasounds showed that something is up with him…

When they first heard about it, Tomm’s parents didn’t know if they would keep the child.

”We sort of discussed this between us, and we decided what’s meant to be is meant to be and we went through with it,” Tomm’s dad, Geoff Tennent, said.

Despite all the tests and examinations, they couldn’t imagine the severity of Tomm’s condition. His parents admitted that they were very surprised when they first saw him.

Debbie Tennent was shocked when her son was placed on her in the delivery room.

“My heart came up to my throat, but at the same time it was lovely to pick him up and cuddle him,” she said.

To medical experts, the boys condition was yet an unsolved mystery. They couldn’t figure out what caused the excessive skin and they had no cure nor treatment. At first they hoped he would grow to fit in his skin as he got older.

But Tomm was so unique that researchers decided to put in effort and funds to solve the mystery behind his condition.

In total, Tomm spend two and a half months, going from tests to analysis and vice versa. It was a huge challenge to discover the underlying cause for his condition since he was the first child on record born with so much excessive skin.

To the Tennent family it was harsh going from one test to another. No parent wishes for their newborn to go from one test to another after delivery, but they knew that this was best for the little one, as well to future families who might stumble upon the same problem.

They made sure that Tomm will feel no different than the rest of the children.

Experts did everything they could to find the trigger to Tomm’s condition, and after digging deeper they finally found something unexpected. Tomm looked similar to the dog breed Shar Pei and that discovery led them to some shocking answers.

Researchers discovered that Tomm’s level of Hyaluronic acid found in skin was 100x higher than normal, which was the case with Shar Pei puppies.

When Shar Peis puppies grow up, the levels of Hyaluronic acid drops – leaving them with normal skin appearance. Doctors hoped and prayed that would be the case for Tomm.

According to his doctor, Dr. Andrew Ramsden, the condition would probably disappear as Tomm got older. And luckily, he was right.

Tomm faced some challenges growing up, especially when he started school. Some children didn’t want to play with him and teased him. But Tomm wasn’t discouraged by his uniqueness.

It didn’t take long for Tomm to make friends and become fully integrated into his school. Even though he still looked different, it wasn’t as bad as when he was born.

In 2003 they asked Tomm if he was worried about how his friends looked at him. Tomm said: “Not really (…) because they are my friends and they don’t really care how I look like.”

Tomm also told 60 Minutes that when he viewed himself in the mirror he saw “a kind loving person.”

“Sometimes they (people) say I look cool, sometimes they say I look really cool, and sometimes they don’t say anything.”

Tomm’s parents were so proud of their special son and how he developed himself to be.

“He’s a good boy” (…) All he has achieved … he is doing good at school, he is doing good at everything,” his dad said.

His parents always made sure that he will be raised like a normal child, and excessive skin has nothing to do with the beauty that comes from within.

Tomm Tennent today

It’s been 28 years since the unique boy that amazed doctors was born. After number of documentaries and hundreds of tests done on Tomm, people wanted an update of how he looked today.

Looking at his social media he is not really active on the subject, but it appears that Tomm is happily married to the love of his wife, Hannah. They seem to live in Frankston, a suburb of Melbourne in Victoria, Australia.

”Life’s simple. You make choices, and you don’t look back” is a quote Tomm posted on his Facebook profile that probably sums up his mindset and whole life.

It’s heartwarming to see Tomm with the same wonderful smile 20 years ago.

Tomm’s story is so inspiring! I’m truly happy to see that he grew up to be happy and fulfilled person despite all his shortcomings as a child.

When they asked him what he would change about himself, he answered: “Probably nothing.” Isn’t that how we should all view ourselves?

I Took in a Beggar with a Baby Because She Reminded Me of My Late Daughter – What She Did in My Home Shocked Me to the Core

At 75, my life was filled with silence and memories until I met Julia, a young mother with a baby, sitting alone by the roadside. What started as a simple act of kindness soon unraveled a story of desperation, betrayal, and an unexpected bond.

At 75, my life had grown quiet. The days seemed longer, each one blending into the next. I spent most of my time thinking about the past. My daughter, Gianna, had died three years ago, and not a day went by that I didn’t think of her.

My son, Sebastian, lived in another city. He was busy with work and his own family. He called from time to time, but his visits were rare. I missed him, but I understood. Life has a way of pulling us all in different directions.

My life passed quietly as I shopped for groceries and attended my weekly book club meetings.

One afternoon, after picking up groceries, I saw her. A young woman was sitting by the side of the road, holding a baby wrapped in a thin, worn blanket. Her head was bowed, her face hidden, but something about her caught my attention.

Maybe it was her eyes when she finally looked up—filled with exhaustion and sadness—or maybe it was the way she held the baby so protectively. She reminded me of Gianna.

I couldn’t just walk past her.

“Do you need help, dear?” I asked softly as I approached her.

She looked up at me, startled. “I don’t want to be a burden,” she whispered, her voice trembling.

“Nonsense,” I said. “You and the baby need a warm place. Come with me.”

She hesitated for a moment, but then slowly nodded. “Thank you,” she whispered again.

We walked back to my house in silence. The baby, a little boy, stirred in her arms, and she tightened her hold on him. I led them inside, offering her a seat on the couch while I warmed some tea. The house had been cold for so long, but now it felt different. It felt alive.

“What’s your name, dear?” I asked as I handed her a steaming cup.

“Julia,” she said, her voice still soft. “And this is Adam.”

I smiled at the baby, who blinked up at me with big, curious eyes. “He’s a handsome little boy,” I said, trying to make her feel comfortable.

“Thank you,” Julia said, a small smile playing on her lips for the first time. “He’s all I have.”

In the days that followed, Julia stayed with me. She found a job at a local grocery store, and I took care of Adam while she worked. He was a joy to have around. His little giggles and the pitter-patter of his feet brought a new energy to the house, one I hadn’t felt in years. It was as if life had returned.

“Thank you for letting us stay here,” Julia said one night after she put Adam to bed. She sat across from me at the kitchen table, her hands wrapped around a cup of tea.

“It’s been good for me,” I replied honestly. “The house was too quiet before you came.”

“I don’t know what we would’ve done without you,” she said, her eyes filled with gratitude.

As the weeks passed, we grew closer. Julia told me a little about her past. She mentioned her five-year-old daughter, Aurora, who was in a charity hospital.

“She’s… not well,” Julia said, her voice barely above a whisper. “But we don’t talk about it much.” There was a sadness in her eyes whenever she spoke of Aurora, but I didn’t push. I figured she’d open up when she was ready.

Then, one afternoon, everything changed.

Adam and I came home from my book club earlier than usual. Even though Adam usually slept through our little gatherings, today he kept crying and nothing could calm him down.

The house was quiet—too quiet. Julia was supposed to be at work, and Adam was with me, so I didn’t expect anything to be out of the ordinary. But when I walked into my bedroom with Adam in my arms, I froze.

Julia was standing by my dresser, pulling open the drawers. My jewelry, loose bills, even my mother’s old brooch were scattered on the floor.

“Julia?” I gasped, my heart sinking.

She spun around, her face pale. Tears welled up in her eyes instantly. “I can explain,” she stammered, dropping everything she had in her hands.

“Why?” I whispered, unable to move, unable to believe what I was seeing.

“I didn’t mean to steal,” Julia cried, her hands shaking. “I just… I didn’t know what else to do. Aurora’s surgery… I can’t afford it, and I can’t lose her. I’ve already lost so much.”

Her words hung in the air. I could hear the fear and the hopelessness, and despite my anger, I felt my heart soften. I understood her pain. The thought of her losing her child, just like I had lost mine, was unbearable. How could I turn away from her, knowing that kind of sorrow?

I knelt down beside her, placing a hand gently on her shoulder. “Julia, I know you’re scared. I can’t imagine the fear you must be feeling right now, but you should have told me. I could’ve helped.”

She looked up, her tear-streaked face full of remorse. “I was ashamed. You’ve done so much for me already, and I didn’t want to ask for more.”

“We’ll figure this out together,” I said softly. “You don’t have to go through this alone.”

Julia wiped her tears, her eyes wide with disbelief. “You’re… you’re not angry?”

“I am,” I admitted. “But I understand why you did what you did. And I forgive you.”

She stared at me for a moment, then threw her arms around me, sobbing into my shoulder. “Thank you… thank you so much.”

That night, I lay in bed thinking. There was no way I could let Julia face this alone. Aurora needed that surgery, and if we worked together, maybe we could make it happen. The next morning, I woke up determined. I wasn’t just going to help Julia; I was going to rally the town.

I hadn’t been involved in the community for years, but in my younger days, I had been known for organizing events. I reached for the phone and started calling people. First, my old friends, then former students and neighbors.

Word spread quickly. Everyone remembered me from when I taught at the local school, and when I explained Julia’s situation, people were eager to help.

“I’ve got some extra things I can donate for an auction,” one of my former students, Maria, said. “We could hold it at the community center.”

“I’ll bake pies for the fundraiser,” said Mrs. Ellison from down the street. “People always love my apple pies.”

“We could put on a community play,” suggested David, an old friend who worked with the local theater group. “Maybe sell tickets to raise more money.”

On the day of the fundraiser, the community center was buzzing with activity. I watched in awe as people from all walks of life came together to help Julia and Aurora. The auction went better than expected, with people bidding generously on everything from homemade quilts to antique vases.

The bake sale was a hit, too—Mrs. Ellison’s pies sold out in less than an hour.

When the play began, I saw Julia sitting in the front row, her eyes filled with tears of gratitude. She glanced at me from across the room, mouthing the words, “Thank you.”

I smiled, my heart swelling with pride. This wasn’t just about raising money—it was about bringing the community together, reminding me that I still had a place in this world. We raised every penny needed for Aurora’s surgery.

The day of the surgery was nerve-wracking. I sat with Julia in the hospital, holding her hand as we waited. “She’s going to be okay,” I whispered, more for myself than for her. In that moment, I thought of Gianna, of the long nights I’d spent at her bedside. The waiting, the praying. I squeezed Julia’s hand tighter.

Hours passed, and finally, the doctor came out with a smile. “The surgery was a success,” he said. “Aurora’s going to be fine.”

Julia collapsed into my arms, sobbing with relief. “Thank you… I don’t know how to ever repay you.”

“You don’t need to repay me,” I said, brushing her hair away from her tear-streaked face. “You’ve already given me so much. You’ve brought life back into my home.”

A happy woman | Source: Pexels

After the surgery, Julia and the children came back to my house. The place was no longer quiet and empty. Adam’s laughter echoed through the halls, and Aurora’s sweet voice filled the air. Toys were scattered across the living room, and the once-silent rooms were now full of life and love.

One evening, as we sat together at the dinner table, I looked at Julia, Aurora, and Adam, feeling something I hadn’t felt in years—contentment.

“Stay,” I said suddenly. Julia looked at me, surprised. “Stay here. You and the kids. This house needs noise. It needs life. You’ve become like family.”

Julia’s eyes filled with tears again. “Are you sure?”

“I’ve never been more sure of anything.”

And just like that, the house wasn’t empty anymore. It was full of laughter, love, and the warmth of a new family bound not by blood, but by something much stronger.

I Became a Burden to My Father after I Lost the Ability to Walk – Story of the Day

I woke to discover I was paralyzed | Source: Unsplash

I was paralyzed and trapped in a wheelchair in an accident, and my father refused to be burdened with me. But then he gets taught an important lesson.

I was 19 when I was run over by a car on my way to work. For me, it was the end of the world: a screech of tires, darkness, and pain. And when I woke up, I heard the voices say I’d never walk again.

I kept asking for my father, but he only showed up three days later, looking the worse for the wear and I knew he’d been on a bender while I’d lain there fighting for my life.

My mother died when I was 12, a victim of breast cancer. I remember her as a sweet, weary woman, always cringing from my father’s cruel words, working to keep food on the table while he drank his paycheck away.

As soon as I turned 14, he ordered me to find a part-time job to help with the bills, and when I was 16, I dropped out of school and started working full time to support myself — and him.

But when my father finally arrived at the hospital to visit me, there was neither compassion nor gratitude in his eyes. The doctor explained that although my spine was not severed there had been severe bruising and compression.

I might — by a long shot — recover my ability to walk, but most likely, I would be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. And that was when my father walked away. He said to the doctor, “She’s over 18, isn’t she? She’s an adult, right? So she’s not my responsibility anymore. You take her.”

I remember my doctor’s horrified expression and my father’s gaze sweeping over my limp legs. “Useless! Useless like your mother!”

Those were the last words I’d hear from him for the next six years. A little while later I was transferred to a recovery center where I was lucky enough to be assigned to a therapist named Carol Hanson.

Family is built on love, not a biological bond, or shared DNA.

She was an older, motherly woman who immediately took me under her wing. Carol was as loving as she was demanding, and she was very demanding. Over the next year, she pushed me towards a recovery I’d never dreamed possible.

The day I stood on my own two feet and took my first step, I cried like a baby, and so did Carol. It was only the beginning, and the next few months I worked even harder, but finally was pronounced healthy.

I woke to discover I was paralyzed | Source: Unsplash

It was a bittersweet moment for me. I was healed from my injury and I was walking again, but I was terrified. I had nowhere to go, no family. I was all alone in the world.

Carol walked in and found me crying. She sat beside me on the bed and put her arms around me. “Jenny,” she said to me, “it’s all right to be scared. You’re starting your life again.”

“I have no one, and nowhere to go,” I whispered, remembering other patients leaving surrounded by loving family, “I’m alone.”

“No you’re not,” Carol said firmly, “I’ve been meaning to talk to you about that. Would you like to move in with me? Just until you get your life together again…”

So I did, and it was lovely. Carol and I got on beautifully, and she gave me my own room, a pretty room, the prettiest I’d ever seen. “It was my daughter’s,” Carol explained with tears in her eyes. “I lost her like you lost your mother.”

I started googling for jobs the next day on Carol’s computer, but when I came down to breakfast there were some informative flyers on the table from the local high school announcing night classes for adults wanting to complete their secondary education.

“I think,” said Carol firmly, “that you need to go back to school so you can go back to college.”

My mouth dropped open. “College? I can’t afford college!” I gasped. “Carol, I don’t have a cent to my name and no way to support myself if I don’t get a job, and quickly.”

Carol shook her head: “No, Jenny, you can’t afford NOT to go to college. Listen, I will lend you the money, and when you graduate, you pay me back — just like a student loan with a bank.”

Anyway, she talked me into it, and I quickly completed the high school certification I needed and applied to the local college. I’ll admit Carol’s example inspired me to become a nurse, and four years later, I graduated summa cum laude.

I started working at a local hospital and ended up specializing in neo-natal care. One day, a TV crew came in to do a news story on a set of identical triplets and ended up interviewing me.

For a while, I was a bit of a celebrity, but the attention brought me an unwanted visitor. The doorbell rang and when I opened it, I was stunned to see my father standing there.

He looked terrible, like a bum, and he reeked of alcohol and sweat. “Jenny, my sweet baby girl!” he cried, reaching out his hands. “I’ve finally found you again.”

“Found me again?” I asked sharply, “You abandoned me in the hospital because I was useless, remember, like my mother?”

He squeezed out a few tears. “Oh my baby,” he sobbed. “Forgive me, I was frightened and in shock… You won’t turn your dad away now, would you? I haven’t been well…”

“You look fine to me,” I told him coldly, but my trained eye had already noted the yellow tinge to his skin and eyes. He had some kind of liver disorder, probably due to his drinking.

He shuffled forward. “I’m sick, Jenny, daddy really needs you…And…” he licked his lips thirstily. “And I’m broke, baby, no money for food…You’re not going to let your daddy go hungry, are you?”

“Like you left me to my fate? Helpless in a wheelchair? Guess what ‘DADDY,’ I am. Get out.” I slammed the door in his face and walked back into the lounge.

Carol looked up at me and smiled. “Who was that, Jenny?”

“Oh, just some man selling something!” I went to the sofa, sat down beside Carol, and hugged her fiercely. Carol hugged me back.

“Jenny,” she said, “there’s something I’ve been meaning to talk to you about. Would you allow me to adopt you? Become your mother? Because in my heart you already are my daughter.”

I started crying and I just couldn’t stop. I had been cursed with a terrible childhood, and now as an adult, I had been lucky enough to find a loving home and a parent who cherished me.

What can we learn from this story?

1. Family is built on love, not a biological bond, or shared DNA.

2. What you give is what you get, as Jenny’s father discovered.

Dad With 240 Tattoos Faces Backlash As People Think He Is A Horrible Father – Then His Wife Reveals The Truth

The story of Richard Huff is a powerful reminder not to judge a book by its cover, emphasizing the importance of looking beyond appearances. At 51 years old, Richard is a devoted father raising five children with his wife, Marita.

However, his striking appearance, adorned with over 240 tattoos, has led many to pass judgment on him as a parent. For Richard, tattoos are a means of self-expression and individuality. Neighbor’s Hilarious Response to Halloween Decoration Criticism Went Viral!

However, just because Halloween is near doesn’t mean we can’t show kindness. One Halloween fan shared this message in a TikTok video that has since gone viral.

Her neighbor asked her to remove some decorations to make things easier for his elderly father.

Salena shared the moment her neighbor visited her to make the request in a TikTok video. In the video, the neighbor explains, “Hey, I know you’re celebrating Halloween. My dad just got diagnosed with lung cancer. He thinks the decorations are a bit scary.” He then points to the graveyard scene and asks, “Would you mind taking just the casket out?”

Salena felt sympathetic right away. Since her neighbor’s dad often spends time in his garage, which faces her yard, she understood why removing the casket was important. “I didn’t want to be a reminder of what could happen if he doesn’t beat cancer,” she told Insider. “I didn’t want to add stress to someone else’s life.”

Salena removed the casket and gave the skeletons badminton rackets instead. She moved the more scary decorations to her backyard. “I was a little sad at first,” Salena wrote in her TikTok caption, “But I realized that taking away the casket wouldn’t hurt me, but it might help my neighbor feel better as he deals with this news. Kindness is free, and compassion goes a long way.”

Many people praised Salena for her kindness. She posted the video and asked her followers what they would have done in her situation. While some said they wouldn’t have taken down their decorations, many praised Salena for her compassion.

“Now this is what being a good neighbor is all about. Kindness doesn’t cost anything. Thank you!” one user commented.

Another person wrote, “This was beautifully handled. The world needs more people like you! God bless you!”

Salena’s neighbor also appreciated her gesture. After she took down the casket, she brought him a card and some balloons. Even though there was a language barrier between them, she could tell he was thankful. He told her, “You’re good people.”

Gisele Bündchen is reportedly expecting her third child with a man she once denied dating. She shares two children with her ex-husband Tom Brady, including one following in his footsteps.

Gisele Bündchen’s family life is expanding, with her two teenage children all grown up now. One of her kids is almost taller than the supermodel, who recently shared some thrilling news.

The Brazilian native and her boyfriend, Jiu-Jitsu instructor, Joaquim Valente, are expecting their first child together, confirmed by a source on October 28, 2024.

“Gisele and Joaquim are happy for this new chapter in their life and they’re looking forward to creating a peaceful and loving environment for the whole family” the insider shared. The couple has been together since June 2023.

The pregnancy news comes after Gisele’s divorce from NFL star Tom Brady, finalized in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage and two kids. Their official paperwork described the marriage as “irretrievably broken.”

Just days before, Gisele and Tom had agreed to a marital settlement, including a parenting plan for joint custody, as confirmed by a source at the time.

In January 2024, the mom of two discussed her parenting approach, focusing on teaching her kids independence. She often tells them, “The way you make your room, the way you organize and make your bed is the way you’re going to do your life,'” the star shared.

Gisele also acknowledged occasional pushback as the kids navigated two homes, but remained committed to the lessons her mother taught her.

Appearing on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” the celebrity shared that, for her, the key to raising kids at this stage is carving out time for meaningful conversations. Reflecting on co-parenting with Tom in a separate interview, she admitted, “I think there’s easier days than others and I can only control what I do.”

In a 2023 interview, Tom shared his summer plans with the kids. The family kicked off with a trip to Disneyland before the children joined Gisele in Brazil. Later, the football star planned to take them to Europe, noting that they had “a really good summer lined up.”

He also emphasized the balance between their screen time and outdoor activities, helping them stay connected with friends and family while enjoying an active lifestyle.

Tom and Gisele’s eldest child together, Benjamin, was born at home—a decision that initially concerned Tom. “He wasn’t into the idea of home birth,” Gisele recalled, sharing how she convinced him by having him watch several home-birthing videos.

“I made it clear that this is my body and I’m going to decide how I give birth,” she said, describing the 18-hour labor as “the most beautiful experience of my life.”

Reflecting in 2021, Tom cherished the memory, saying, “Me being there with G at his birth in our home…we brought this boy into the world in the most precious way.”

In September 2023, Gisele divulged that “Benny’s doing football,” proudly noting that her son is following in Tom’s footsteps by wearing the iconic number 12 on his jersey. “He just started, and his first game was so nice,” she added.

Benjamin’s journey in sports hasn’t always been easy. Despite his love for the game, he faced bullying in Boston after a baseball game, a challenging experience tied to the pressures of being Tom’s son, who also plays the piano.

Benjamin, who frequently appears on Gisele’s social media, now stands even taller than his supermodel mom—a fact that hasn’t gone unnoticed by fans, who often comment on his resemblance to Tom.

Observers have shared remarks like, “he is your real man [sic]” and “Little Tom,” with one saying“He looks so much like Tom.” Another follower noted his impressive height, adding, “Wow, he’s 5’11! He’s going to be very tall.”

Tom and Gisele’s younger child, Vivian, has been pursuing her own interests, including horseback riding lessons in 2022. That same year, Gisele brought Vivian along to a fashion shoot—a rare experience for her daughter, who was now old enough to witness the busy world of modeling.

“She saw me with all these different hairdos and makeup—she didn’t understand why,” the doting mom divulged, recalling Vivian’s innocent comment, “Mommy, you look so much prettier without all that! Why are they touching you?” Gisele’s playful response? “Listen, this is fashion!”

Vivian, turning 12 in 2024, has developed a love for cooking. Back in April 2021, Gisele proudly shared a photo of her daughter making scrambled eggs, calling her a “super chef.”

Like her brother, Vivian often appears on her mom’s Instagram, where fans have fun pointing out their likeness. Comments range from “Mini Gisele” and “isn’t she lovely [sic’]” to enthusiastic exclamations like “Your twin!!!”

As Gisele and Tom Brady navigate new chapters in their lives, they continue to support their children’s unique journeys, balancing family life with their individual paths.

From Benjamin’s steps into sports with his father’s number proudly displayed on his jersey to Vivian’s budding interests in fashion and cooking, both children are growing up with love and guidance from both parents.

Despite the changes, Gisele and Tom’s commitment to providing a stable, nurturing environment remains clear—a testament to their dedication as co-parents and the close-knit family they’ve built together.

Man Says Goodbye To His Wife As They Took Her Off Life Support, But Then She Utters 5 Words

We have this false belief (at least in the back of our heads) that we can live forever. But sometimes life throws a curve ball that we’ve never expected.

On a regular Sunday morning, Ryan Finley woke up, took a wide stretch and pinched his wife, Jill Finley to wake her up as well.

“I went to wake Jill up, which is a miracle in itself as I never, ever, do that on Saturday mornings,” he later recalled.

He called but she didn’t respond. That’s when Ryan’s pulse started to race. He knew something was not right. He immediately called emergency and performed CPR on his wife.

When paramedics arrived they immediately took her to the hospital, with Ryan driving behind it.

After medical checkup, they made a conclusion that Jill suffered a cardiac arrest.

She got a medical procedure done to stabilize her, while Ryan was waiting impatiently outside the ER.

When doctors came out to tell him an update, they finished with “pray for your wife.” Ryan knew when someone tells you that it’s life and death. “When a doctor tells you, you need to start praying, I feel it’s about as serious as it’s going to get.”

Soon after, they informed Ryan that his wife was in a coma.

He just couldn’t fathom the fact that his 31-year-old wife that was alive and well yesterday, now battles with life and death situation…

During the two weeks, Jill was in a coma and got a lot of visitors praying that she would soon wake up and be well. But one day Jill’s cousin came with a Bible in his hand and read to Jill from the Bible for an hour.

Ryan made it as a routine to read passages out loud to his wife with high hope that she’d wake up soon.

After 11 days, Ryan went home to think about whether to wait for his life or put her off of life support as doctors suggested. Doctors were sure there would be no improvement…

He knew that once they took her off life support, she would pass away shortly. On the 14th day he made the choice to take her off life support and let her go…

About 5 hours when she was removed from life-support, Jill started to mumble and move. Ryan was heartbroken to be present on scene while she suffered and stepped out until she passed away.

He recalls the next moments clearly, “The nurse came out and said, ‘I think you need to come in, she’s talking.’”

He went in expecting to have the final words as she enters the spiritual realm, but as he walked in he recalls the shock “I walked in and Jill was talking. First thing she said was, ‘Get me out of here. I want to go home.’”

Ryan couldn’t process the situation, he shook his head in disbelief.

He thought she was just mumbling, but then he asked her about their pets’ names and few mental math questions, all of which she answered without an error.

She even asked to go to her favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner. He then knew Jill wasn’t going to the spiritual world… she was coming back home with him.

Ryan was asked what brought his wife back and he replied back without hesitation: “God. Divine intervention. I honestly feel that way.”

It wasn’t as if Jill went back to normal the next day. She had to learn how to brush her teeth again and tie her shoe laces due to decline on some of her motor skills.

But after God gave them a second chance they made sure they would ALWAYS be next to each other, especially when they need it most.
