Elon Musk Wants to Buy ABC Just to Cancel “The View”—Here’s Why He Calls It the Worst Show Ever

Elon Musk, the billionaire known for running Tesla and SpaceX, is now thinking about buying ABC, one of the biggest TV networks in the U.S. If this happens, Musk says he wants to cancel “The View,” a talk show he calls “woke.” His plan has already stirred up a lot of discussion and arguments.

Musk is known for taking on big projects. He has changed the car industry with electric vehicles, pushed for space travel with SpaceX, and invested in green energy and advanced tech. Now, it looks like he wants to step into the world of television and media.

If Musk buys ABC, it would be his first big move into owning a major TV network. People are curious about what changes he might make, given his history of bold ideas and major disruptions. His leadership could reshape ABC’s shows and how the network runs.

Promoted Content

ABC, owned by Disney, is a major part of American TV culture. It airs a variety of shows, including news, sports, comedies, and dramas, reaching millions of people every day. If Musk acquires it, he would have a strong platform to share his own ideas and influence public conversations.

Musk’s plan to cancel “The View” has caught a lot of attention. “The View” is a daytime talk show with a group of women discussing news, politics, and social issues. The show is often seen as “woke” because it supports progressive ideas and social justice topics. Musk’s dislike for the show fits with his usual criticism of political correctness and social activism.

This move by Musk is part of a larger debate in the U.S. about what “woke” means. The term started as a call to be aware of social problems but has become divisive. Some see it as progress, while others see it as pushing political correctness too far.

Getting rid of “The View” would be a big statement from Musk. It shows his disapproval of media that focuses heavily on progressive ideas. Musk might want ABC’s content to be more balanced or less politically biased.

However, canceling “The View” would likely upset many viewers. The show has a loyal fan base that values its focus on issues like women’s rights, racial justice, and LGBTQ+ topics. Taking it off the air could anger a large group of ABC’s audience and lead to strong public reactions.

The news about Musk’s interest in buying ABC and his comments on “The View” have sparked mixed feelings. Fans of Musk praise his direct approach and think he could shake up the network, bringing new ideas and less bias. They hope his leadership would change ABC for the better.

But critics worry that if Musk controls a major TV network, it could harm honest journalism and the network’s independence. They fear his strong opinions and business interests might affect the network’s news coverage and the type of shows it airs.

Getty

Industry experts are already discussing what might happen if Elon Musk buys ABC. Media analyst Sarah Hargreaves says, “If Musk joins the media industry, he could shake things up like he did with cars and space travel. But media is different—it relies a lot on public trust and keeping news independent.”

Beyond his idea to cancel “The View,” we don’t know much about Musk’s plans for ABC. However, looking at his other companies, it’s likely he would focus on technology and new ideas. Musk might want to use advanced tech like AI and virtual reality in ABC’s shows and operations.

Musk’s interest in space and future tech could also lead to special new shows. Imagine a weekly series about SpaceX missions, new science discoveries, or progress in renewable energy. This kind of content might draw in viewers who are curious about science and technology.

Even with his big ideas, Musk would face tough obstacles in buying and changing ABC. First, government rules could slow down the process. Agencies like the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) would examine the deal closely to see if it affects competition and the diversity of media voices.

Second, Musk has little experience in the media industry. Although he has succeeded in many areas, media is different because it focuses on storytelling, content creation, and connecting with viewers. To succeed, Musk would have to handle complex social and cultural issues, which is not his usual field.

Finally, there’s the issue of money. Even though Musk is very wealthy, buying ABC and changing it would cost a lot. It would require careful financial planning and a big investment of resources.

Elon Musk’s plan to buy ABC and cancel “woke The View” shows his endless drive to try new things. His past success in disrupting industries is well-known, but the media world comes with unique problems that will challenge his skills and ideas.

This possible deal brings up important questions about the future of media, the balance of political discussions, and the role of new technology in TV. As always, people will be watching Musk’s next move closely, as it could be another exciting chapter in his incredible career.

Meghan Markle Considers Leaving

A royal commentator has said that Meghan Markle “might want to leave America” as the result of the US presidential election has left her “very upset.”
The Duchess is upset about what’s been going on in American politics lately. In the most recent U.S. elections, Donald Trump beat Kamala Harris and became President of the United States. Meghan Markle was very upset by this news because she really wanted Kamala to win the race. After the election. Press here if you want to

Four years ago, Meghan and Harry were much more outspoken about their political views. This time, they chose to keep quiet about it. Instead, they focused on getting people to vote without directly supporting any political candidate.

A royal commentator has said that Meghan Markle “might want to leave America” as the result of the US presidential election has left her “very upset.” Both Meghan and Prince Harry have maintained quite a low profile during this election.

“Meghan will be really upset to live in America with Trump as president,” Daily Mail Editor at Large Charlotte Griffiths told GB News. “She really viscerally disliked him and for many different reasons, and has said that he’s a misogynist live on television before. So she might want to leave America.”

Trump has previously been critical of the Sussexes, and has called them out for how they treated the late Queen. On being questioned by Nigel Farage on GB News about potential “special privileges” for the Duke of Sussex, Trump had said, “No. We’ll have to see if they know something about the drugs, and if he lied they’ll have to take appropriate action.”

Harry admitted to having used drugs in his memoir Spare, which triggered a controversy.

“Put it this way. Harry’s just bought a house in Portugal and it might come in pretty handy in the next few months,” Griffiths said. “Donald Trump has said in the past that he wouldn’t protect Harry, that he would be on his own, and that if it was down to me he wouldn’t have any protection. The Heritage Foundation tried to expose his form and in the end, he was protected.”

Griffiths added, “A judge ruled that the form would never be revealed. I just wonder whether now Trump is in power, I’m not saying it’s top of his priority list, but eventually that form might be exposed.”

When Eric Trump said his dad ‘doesn’t give a damn’ about Prince Harry

However, Eric Trump recently told MailOnline that his father “doesn’t give a damn” about Harry. Even royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams suggested that the president-elect would possibly not take any drastic action against the Duke.

“Harry was extremely foolish to discuss his drug taking in Spare both in interviews and in the memoir,” Fitzwilliams said, adding that “it is most unlikely that Trump would risk an embarrassing episode involving the Royal family by expelling Harry.”

Whoopi Goldberg To Leave America with Megan Rapinoe: ‘We Get No Respect Here’?

Megan Rapinoe and Whoopi Goldberg Kicked Off From The View 🎬👋

Claim:

“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg and U.S. women’s national team soccer player Megan Rapinoe said they’re leaving America.

On Sept. 6, 2023, the SpaceXMania.com website reported that “The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg and U.S. women’s national team soccer player Megan Rapinoe were planning to leave America.

The headline read, “Breaking: Whoopi Goldberg to Leave America with Megan Rapinoe; ‘We Get No Respect Here.’”

Whoopi Goldberg To Leave America with Megan Rapinoe: 'We Get No Respect Here'? | Snopes.com

The article began as follows:

In a sobering announcement that has gripped the nation, iconic actress and talk show co-host, Whoopi Goldberg, alongside soccer superstar Megan Rapinoe, declared their intentions to leave America. The overwhelming sentiment behind this unprecedented decision? A profound sense of feeling disrespected and unappreciated.

While many significant decisions stem from hushed boardroom meetings or formal gatherings, this one found its origins in the most unexpected of locales: a brunch at LA’s renowned ‘Eggs-travagance’ bistro. As both celebrities sat down, little did the onlookers know that the meeting would spiral into a national conversation on respect, scrutiny, and the emotional toll it takes.

Goldberg, with her illustrious career spanning over decades, has had her fair share of controversies, often stemming from her unabashed opinions on ‘The View.’ Rapinoe, on the other hand, recently became the target of extensive public critique following a missed penalty kick, an error that fans found hard to forgive.

This article followed a previous story published by SpaceXMania.com on Aug. 31. That headline read, “‘I don’t get any respect’: Megan Rapinoe To Leave America After Heavy Criticism.”

However, these two articles were not a factual recounting of real-life events. The stories originated with a website that describes its output as being satirical in nature, both on its “About Us” page and as a label above articles.

The rumor specifically about Rapinoe also appeared in a new article on The Dunning-Kruger Times satire website on Sept. 6. The Dunning-Kruger Times is part of the America’s Last Line of Defense network. The headline of the story read, “Megan Rapinoe Says She’s Leaving America: ‘I Get No Respect.’” The “get no respect” quotes from both websites were made up.

In Facebook comments on Sept. 6, the people behind SpaceXMania.com and Dunning-Kruger Times acknowledged each other’s satirical stories, the latter continuing in satirical form calling the former a “patriot.”

A search of Facebook for the Goldberg and Rapinoe “leaving America” headlines published by these two websites yielded a seemingly countless number of comments from users who appeared to believe that the pair were, in fact, leaving the U.S., even though it was only satire.

For background, here is why we sometimes write about satire/humor.

Reba McEntire recalls the tragic day she lost her band in a horrific plane crash 32 years ago

Today, the wonderful Reba McEntire is 68 years old and she truly deserves all the praise she can get. Personally, it feels like she has been around all my life and I still listen to her, several times a week.

But everything hasn’t been milk and honey in Reba’s life – this year marks the 32nd anniversary of a plane disaster that claimed the lives of several of her friends.

Reba McEntire

After making her breakthrough in country music in the late 1970s and early 1980s, Reba McEntire was named “best singer” four years in a row by the Country Music Association. She also, of course, has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

But despite her fantastic career and all her success, life has also been pretty tough for Reba – she has had her fair share of personal tragedies.

In 2022, Reba’s mother Jacqueline lost her battle with cancer , passing away at the age of 93.

”She had a wonderful, full, healthy life and was absolutely ready to go. The cancer might think it won the battle but we’re giving God all the credit on selecting the time for her to go home to Him,” the country star wrote on social media.

Reba McEntire

Jacqueline McEntire always held the dream of being a professional country singer and it was she who taught Reba to sing – thus realizing her ambitions through her daughter.

“She left knowing how much she is loved and we all know how much she loved us. We’re all going to miss her but we have so many wonderful memories,” Reba said.

Reba certainly knows what it is to endure sorrow and loss.

Reba McEntire

32 years ago, in on March 16, she lost seven of her band members and her tour manager, who died in a tragic plane crash after a concert.

I remember that day in 1991. I was driving to work and I heard about the crash on the radio. My heart skipped a beat when I thought Reba was also in the plane.

But she wasn’t.

Reba and her band had performed in San Diego on March 16, 1991, and was heading to Fort Wayne, Ind., to perform their next concert on the tour.

Two planes were waiting at the airport in San Diego – the band members and tour manager flew on ahead while Reba, her husband and manager stayed overnight in San Diego.

The first aircraft tragically met with disaster just ten miles east of the airport.

Reba McEntire

Over the years, Reba has often paid tribute to her lost friends.

In an emotional interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2012, she spoked out about the day her band perished.

“The tip of the wing of the airplane hit a rock on the side of Otay Mountain, and it killed everyone on the plane,” McEntire told Winfrey.

“When we were notified, Narvel (Reba’s manager) went and met with our pilot, and he told us what had happened. And Narvel came back to the hotel room where I was — it was two or three o’clock in the morning — and he said one of the planes had crashed, and I said, ‘Are they OK?’ He said, ‘I don’t think so.’ I said, ‘But you’re not sure?’ He said, ‘I don’t think so.’”

Reba had tears in her eyes as she recalled the details of the tragedy.

Reba McEntire

“Narvel was going room to room with a phone and calling …” she began, pausing as tears came to her eyes. “I’m sorry — it’s been 20 years, but it’s just like — I don’t guess it ever quits hurting,” she said. “But I can see that room. I can see Narvel walking back and forth.”

Now, 32 years has passed since the crash. Recently, she posted a photo of her band on Instagram recalling the day’s tragic events from that day.

In 2020, she posted another tribute to her friends.

“29 years ago today, I lost my friends in a plane crash. The timing of Mama’s passing with that anniversary seems appropriate,” she writes.

Reba McEntire

“I know they’re all in Heaven together and taking care of each other. Let’s keep finding ways to take care of each other down here on earth and never take one moment with our loved ones for granted.”

Reba’s fans stepped up immediately and sent their support to the country star.

Many people sent positive thoughts and prayers.

“Reba I’ve always loved your music, our shared horse background, and now following you on Insta. Prayers for you and your mother

” one fan wrote.

This year, in 2023, Reba once again demonstrated that she will never forget her friends and that she still mourns their tragic loss.

Reba McEntire

”Their love for music and the stage gives us all the strength to go on,” she wrote and shared a video of the group performing together.

So sorry Reba. Stay strong, you fantastic woman. God kept you here on earth for a reason you make so many people happy. Keep smiling!

10+ Clothing Items You Must Toss Today

People often struggle to get rid of old clothing. Whether they’re sentimentally significant or you’re worried you’ll need them as soon as you throw it away, getting rid of old stuff can be hard. However, it’s clarifying, and refreshing, and allows more room for new or updated things, hopefully elevating your life. Interestingly there are several reasons for the struggle. Here’s a brief explanation and some items to get rid of asap.

Why It’s Hard to Get rid of Old clothes

Firstly, the most common reason for people to hold onto old clothing is because they feel guilty. The guilt of wasting money on something hardly worn, or the guilt of wasting a perfectly good article of clothing. Perhaps the item was gifted to them and there’s a sentimental attachment. Either way, holding onto it actually prolongs the unpleasant feelings and guilt. However, the money has already been spent and isn’t coming back so keeping those old items is a great way to perpetuate your guilt.

Instead, try donating old clothing if it’s still in good condition. As a result, you’ll feel better and more fulfilled. Meanwhile, you’ll make a positive contribution to someone else’s life.

Dress for Your Body Type Right Now

Another reason that people might hold onto old clothing for far too long is because of their weight. As we age, we go through weight and hormone fluctuations which means old clothing may no longer fit or look flattering. However, it’s not uncommon to hold onto the hope they’ll one day fit again. Sadly, this has a detrimental impact on your mental health. It creates negative feelings that reinforce depression regarding your weight and creates extra clutter which can cause a feeling of frustration or being overwhelmed.

Although there are many reasons for not letting go of old clothing, doing so can be freeing and have a positive effect on many aspects of your life. Here are 10 of the most common items found in closets that it’s time to let go of.

Letting Go of What Doesn’t Fit

As previously mentioned, one reason people hang onto old clothing is the hope that it might fit. Therefore, the first suggestion for old clothing to let go of is unsurprisingly, clothing that doesn’t fit. It’s not good for your mental health and takes up unnecessary space. Your confidence and closet will thank you.

2. Keeping Clothing “Just in Case”

The next suggested item to get rid of is anything that you have “just in case” of a special event or occasion. Often these go out of style and by the time you’re ready to wear them, you’ll likely be in the market for something more trendy.

3. Mismatched Clothing

This one probably doesn’t require much explanation but just in case, get rid of mismatched clothing because it doesn’t look aesthetically pleasing or professional. Rather it can look loud, messy, and poorly thought out. Instead, buy clothing in colors that compliment each other so you can mix and match your wardrobe without looking messy or too contrasting.

4. Clothing that You’re Tired of

While some pieces are timeless, if you’re unmotivated to wear them then it’s probably time to let them go. Fortunately, you can donate them so someone else can enjoy the outfit if they’re still in good condition.

5. Something that was a gift

It’s hard to let go of things that were given to us by people we love. It’s nice to be thought of and those items are reminders that people are thinking of us. However, precious moments are far more valuable and only take up space in our brains and hearts. As such, you can hold onto cherished relationships with memories rather than tangible items like clothing, which take up space and cause clutter.

6. Something from the past or future

While some styles come back around, holding onto things that you used to wear because you love them or think you might wear them in the future is another cause for clutter in closets and homes. Often, they sit in the back of our closets for months or years, becoming forgotten until it’s time to move. At this point, you’ll likely be looking to downsize to eliminate some hassle anyway.

7. Bridesmaids Dresses

Sadly, these are costly and generally only worn once. As a result, getting rid of old bridesmaids dresses can feel like a waste of money. Additionally, they represent big days for people we love. However, like gifted items, the relationships and moments spent together are far more valuable and meaningful than the dresses themselves.

8. Stretched Clothing

Over time, clothing becomes worn and stretched out. As a result, it no longer fits properly and is unflattering but getting rid of it will clear up space in your home and leave you feeling surprisingly refreshed.

9. Broken or uncomfortable clothing

Although it’s hard to let go of your favorite pieces, they can become worn down over time and are no longer useful. Therefore, if anything in your wardrobe is there “because you love it, even though you never wear it,” it’s probably time to let go. This also applies to shoes that are unbearably painful or clothing that is itchy or makes it hard to breathe.

10. Extra “Throw Away” Clothing

A close up of hands painting a craft.

While some professions allow for the use of cheap, stained, or unpresentable clothing, like a painter, gardener, or teacher, in most cases you’ll feel better about your wardrobe if it’s not all “lazy day clothes.” T-shirts, comfortable yoga pants, and so on., are great to have around for unexpected messes or a day of lounging at home but consider adding some more sophisticated pieces to your wardrobe and reduce the “throw-away” outfits to 2-3 at most.

It’s time to refresh your wardrobe and get rid of old clothing, which is tough, especially when items hold sentimental significance. However, there’s some good news. Giving to others will not only free up space in your home but it will give you a sense of internal fulfillment and happiness. Here are some places to consider dropping off your old clothing.

Donate Old Clothing

If clothing, or linens, are in good shape, you can do a few things with them. Firstly, battered women’s shelters help women and children escape dangerous situations and many times, they have to leave their homes with little time to pack their belongings. As such, they have to start over, relying on the help of donations from the shelters. You’ll have to check with your local shelter to see what they accept and don’t but here are some generally accepted items:

  • Luggage
  • Professional Attire
  • Warm Jackets and Gloves
  • Blankets
  • Pots and Pans
  • Jeans
  • Children’s Clothing and Accessories

Secondly, pet shelters can use old blankets and sweaters to warm animals in the winter, while mismatched, stained, or damaged clothing can be used as rags to clean up spills and messes or dry the animals off during the wet season.

Repurpose or Recycle Items in Poor Shape

Various colored fabrics and crafts.

Thirdly, damaged shoes, purses, accessories, or other items of clothing can be sent to some fashion brands to be repurposed. For instance, Madewell has a program, recycling old jeans for insulation for Habitat for Humanity.

Lastly, if you’re struggling to let go of the things that hold sentimental importance and are crafty, you can use them to create new pieces or make a quilt.

Brave Young Man Steps in for Great-Great-Grandmother and It Cost Him His Life

Betty Walsh, 82, was attacked outside the Best Kebab and Fish Bar in London. Her attacker punched her to the floor and stabbed her. Twenty-year-old Ali Abucar Ali stepped in to try to help her. But the attacker fatally stabbed the young man. When the ambulance arrived, paramedics rushed Walsh to the hospital and pronounced Ali dead on the scene.

The attacker was Norris Henry, 37. Police charged him with the murder of Ali and the attempted murder of Walsh. Despite her serious wounds, they were not life-threatening. Ali, who was described as “the most caring, humble, funniest young man,” was a hero who saved her life. [1]

The Tragedy of Ali Abucar Ali

According to Walsh’s family, she is off of the “critical list” after undergoing a kidney operation. They’d even talked to her after she woke up from the procedure. She had the wherewithal to ask about the football score. However, it took some time for her to leave the hospital.

Bridget, Betty’s eldest daughter, praised Ali. He had challenged the man attacking the grandmother and tried to help her. She called him a “hardworking, good lad,” who had recently earned a scholarship. He was also a coach for younger basketball players and well-respected and beloved by his community. His mother was comforting Betty’s family members before the police told her that her son died from the attack.

’I heard about how the boy went to help the old lady from a friend,” a local resident commented. “He was a hero. What he did was so honorable, and it is such a shame he died.’’

The Rock of Her Family

Walsh is affectionately known as “Betty Boo” by her friends. She has 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and she is a great-great-grandmother. As Bridget said,

She was lively and fit… She worked in four pubs and worked really hard. Sadly, her husband died more than 30 years ago so she brought us all up by herself and was the rock of the family.

This will probably have shaken her up quite a lot. She didn’t realize she had been punched and didn’t realize she had been stabbed until someone came out to help her. Ali went up and asked what all the commotion was about, challenged her attacker, and tried to help her. What happened to him next was a tragedy.

…Last night I got back from work and was told ‘mum’s been stabbed.’ I was so scared and in complete shock. I am just glad she is alive. We just want to thank the police and all the neighbors who helped our mum. They were there instantly and kept us informed. They are heroes. We are praying our mum makes a full and speedy recovery.”

Ali’s family preferred not to comment when approached by the press. But Bridget said, “I knew him and his mother. They are a very good family. His mother had rushed to comfort me as soon as she heard about what happened to mum. Before the police phoned her and told her the devastating news that her son had so sadly been stabbed. Ali was a really hardworking, good lad who had recently won a scholarship, we think it was to play basketball.” [2]

He Truly is a Hero”

Ali’s family created a GoFunMe page where many donors already helped them complete their £100,000 goal. “We lost a dear brother, the most caring, humble, funniest young man. Don’t have a single memory of him without seeing his amazing smile,” the family wrote.

The comments are full of people wishing their condolences to the family, from friends and strangers.

“Ali was the most happy, loving, and friendly Coach I’ve met in my life. No matter how bad of a day you were having, meeting him always made it that much better. Ali, you are a hero and always will be. Thank you for making this world a better place,” wrote Charlie Crabtree.

Debbie Lonnen wrote, “I didn’t know Ali, but I was so touched by his courage and selflessness. He truly is a hero and will forever be remembered.” [3]

After Son’s Death, Mom Enters His Room and Cries as She Hears Child’s Voice Saying ‘Hi Mom’ — A Short Story

When a loved one dies, they leave a gaping hole behind. That void cannot be filled but as time passes, the mourners learn how to live with it. A sudden loss is even more wrenching because there was no warning and no opportunity for any kind of closure. We think we have all the time in the world for amends until that moment is ripped away. Lori grieved deeply for her son, filled with past regrets. But then a strange incident gave her the reason to keep moving on.

Jonah Goes Missing

First, Lori lost her husband. They had been in love since college and Lori couldn’t imagine life without him. But their son, Jonah, was only five years old at the time and he struggled to understand what was going on. Lori forced herself to be strong for his sake.

Eventually, her faked strength developed into something more substantial. She still missed her husband terribly, but as time passed, she got more energy. She was able to enjoy life again. Jonah became her whole world and she was determined to be the best mother possible. This mission became extraordinarily difficult when Jonah entered his teenage years.

Like most teenagers, Jonah became moody and distant. He no longer confided in Lori and he got angry when she invaded his space. It was like he became a new person and Lori struggled to parent this version of Jonah. But she hoped he would adjust as he matured and they would become close again then. However, the distance only grew as time went on.

One afternoon, Lori cooked Jonah’s favorite dinner and planned to initiate a meaningful talk with him. But the hours drew by and Jonah didn’t return from school. She called his friends in case he went to their houses, but all of them didn’t know where he was. One of them mentioned they planned to play video games together but Jonah hasn’t logged into his online account. Lori went upstairs and peeked into Jonah’s room, something he had prohibited her from doing. She hoped he would miraculously appear in front of his video game console and yell at her to get out of his room. But he didn’t appear.

Hi, Mom”

Finally, Lori called the police to file a missing person report. But her conversation was interrupted by a knock at the door. Two cops were already there. After sitting her down, they informed Lori that Jonah was hit by a drunk driver when he was crossing the street, just a few blocks from their home.

Lori felt like she was trapped in a bad dream. It didn’t feel real, not when she identified the body at the hospital, not during the funeral. Only when his coffin was laid in the earth did reality hit her. Her son was in that box. She cried uncontrollably. Despite all of her efforts to be a good mother, she had failed him.

Now alone in an empty house, Lori fell into a depression. She slept through the day and lay awake at night, the horror of her son’s death replaying over and over in her mind. She could barely get out of bed. But a week later she was awoken early one morning by a voice calling, “Hi, mom.” It sounded like Jonah.

She shot out of bed, calling for him. But there was a pause. Then she heard it again, coming from Jonah’s bedroom. She entered for the first time in a long while and a haunted feeling fell over her. Then she heard the voice again say, “Hi, mom,” but it didn’t sound like her son anymore.

Hiding behind the door was a gray parrot in a cage, turning its head quizzically at her. She had no idea the bird was here. When she leaned down to look at it more closely, she noticed a note with a childish scrawl with a few notes on how to care for the parrot and a phone number for more questions.

Why Did Denny Sell His Parrot?

She called several times until a young boy picked up. She asked about the parrot and he remembered it immediately. He said his name was Denny and the parrot used to be his but he traded it with Jonah for his old toys. They were in good condition and Denny sold the toys for money.

He went on to explain that he met Jonah in the park a while ago. He had liked the parrot and asked Denny all about it. The two chatted for a while and Denny offered to trade it. Lori remembered that Jonah had begged for a pet but they couldn’t afford it at the time. Jonah didn’t take the refusal well but she had no idea he had attained a bird on his own. But now, she only felt happy he got the pet he wanted, even for a little bit.

But she asked Denny why he was selling his parrot, and Denny admitted he needed money for food. He had escaped from his abusive foster parents, taking the parrot they had bought him to show off for the childcare inspectors. He’d been living on the streets ever since and he begged Lori not to tell his foster parents where he was. She promised him she wouldn’t.

Her Second Son

Lori offered to return the parrot and Denny agreed. He had missed his feathery friend. He came by her house later that afternoon, and Lori cooked him a large lunch. As they ate, Denny explained more about his life, and with his permission, she called social services to report his abusive foster parents. When the social worker asked for her address to pick him up, Denny began to panic that he’d have to go back to that awful home. Immediately, Lori insisted that he would stay by her house during the investigation. She had to give her address for the social worker to look over her house and sign some paperwork, and the visit made Denny extremely anxious. He was terrified to be taken away, but Lori assured him that would not happen.

So Denny became a guest, living in Jonah’s old room. He didn’t fully trust Lori, but he felt better having met her son. By the time the investigation was over, Denny and Lori had created a bond. Instead of turning him into the social service, she adopted him. While she still mourned for Jonah deeply, she felt like he had brought Denny to her, that he knew that Denny belonged in their family.

The man’s surprise came after he learned that vaginal discharge can sometimes cause underwear to discolor. This discovery was revealed when he noticed that some women’s underwear appeared bleached in certain areas and assumed it was due to a laundry mishap.

However, he soon found out that the bleaching effect was caused by the natural pH levels of vaginal discharge. A fact that left him completely stunned. “I had no idea that something like this could happen,” he said, according to Tyla. “It’s something I never thought about, but it’s amazing how the body works.”

Understanding Vaginal Discharge and Its Role

Vaginal discharge is a perfectly normal part of the female reproductive system. It serves as a way to keep the vagina clean and free from infections. The discharge helps maintain the vagina’s acidic environment, which acts as a barrier against harmful bacteria. Its composition varies throughout the menstrual cycle, sometimes thickening, becoming more watery, or changing in color.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, this is a sign of a healthy reproductive system. “Discharge is the body’s way of keeping things clean down there,” says Dr. Jennifer Miles, a gynecologist. “The vaginal environment needs to stay slightly acidic to fend off infections.”

Why Does Vaginal Discharge Bleach Underwear?

The bleaching effect that shocked the man occurs because of the discharge’s natural acidity. The vagina maintains a pH level that is generally between 3.8 and 4.5, which is slightly more acidic than water. This acidity helps prevent infections, but it can also lead to a bleaching effect when it comes into prolonged contact with fabric.

Healthline explains that when vaginal discharge comes into contact with underwear, the acidity may break down the dye in the fabric over time. This can leave behind white or faded spots, which is completely normal and nothing to worry about.

Common Misconceptions About Vaginal Discharge

Many people are unaware of these types of biological facts, and this man’s reaction is not uncommon. There is a lot of misinformation about vaginal health. Many still believe that vaginal discharge is a sign of uncleanliness when in reality, it is a healthy, necessary function of the body. “This is one of the biggest misconceptions,” Dr. Miles points out. “Discharge often gets a bad rap, but it’s protecting the vagina. The acidity helps prevent harmful bacteria from causing infections.”

The Importance of Educating Men on Female Anatomy

The viral story highlights the ongoing need for better education about female anatomy, particularly for men who may be unfamiliar with the workings of the female body. Many online commented that they were also unaware of this fact and appreciated the newfound knowledge.

“It’s important that we normalize these conversations,” says relationship and sex educator Lisa Williams. “The more men understand about women’s bodies, the better they can support the women in their lives and break down unnecessary stigmas.”

What to Expect From Normal Discharge

Vaginal discharge can vary in color, texture, and amount throughout a woman’s menstrual cycle. These changes are usually a reflection of hormonal shifts. Clear or white discharge is typical during ovulation, while thicker, creamier discharge can occur later in the cycle.

However, the Cleveland Clinic warns that any discharge accompanied by itching, foul odor, or unusual color (such as green or gray) could signal an infection and should be checked out by a healthcare provider.

How Women Can Care for Their Vaginal Health

Women need to take care of their vaginal health, and one of the simplest ways to do so is by wearing breathable, cotton underwear and avoiding scented products that could disrupt the natural pH balance. “Women should avoid douching and over-washing,” says Dr. Miles. “The vagina is self-cleaning, and excessive washing can lead to infections.” She also advises checking in with a gynecologist regularly and being aware of any changes in discharge that may indicate a health issue.

It’s just a small thing, but it’s part of a bigger conversation that’s long overdue.”

My Husband’s Reaction to Finding Out Our Baby Girl Has No Arms or Hands Put the Doctors to Shame

Even in today’s modern world with state-of-the-art hospitals and advanced medicine, pregnancy and childbirth come with a certain amount of risk. For this reason, every time a baby is born healthy with no complications it is truly a miracle. Sometimes, however, things don’t go perfectly, and babies are born with health issues that the doctors can’t explain. This can be extremely scary and heartbreaking for the child’s parents, who are not only afraid for the health of their baby, but are unsure whether they’ll be able to provide everything that child will need as they grow up. Vanessa Mcleod and her husband know exactly what that feels like, having experienced the same pain, sadness, and fear after they learned that their unborn baby girl was going to be born with no arms and no hands.

A Baby Girl with No Arms and No Hands

When Vanessa Mcleod received a phone call from her midwife after a routine ultrasound, she knew something was terribly, horribly wrong. Her midwife had told her over the phone that there were “significant findings” in the ultrasound, that she should bring her husband with her to the appointment, and that she should find someone to look after her two-year-old daughter.

Her husband was out of town for work, so instead her mother and father came to the appointment with her. Vanessa cried the entire way, fearing the worst. All she could think was that she did not want to lose her baby.

Upon reviewing the scan of her unborn child, she learned there was a possibility of a cleft lip, that one of her baby’s femurs was curved and shorter than the other, that the doctors had some concerns with her heart, and that she was missing both of her forearms and hands.

That final blow was more than the young mother could take.

“This felt like a punch to the gut. It stole my breath. It keeled me over and the sobs tore out of me, and visions of my perfect little baby shattered,” said Mcleod [1].

Her biggest concern had been that her pregnancy wasn’t viable, or that there was something wrong that would make it impossible for her baby to survive- that she would give birth to her little girl only to lose her shortly after. The thought of her being born without arms or hands had never even crossed her mind.

Grieving

Over the next few months, Vanessa went through a grieving process as she attempted to process this new information. She felt denial, guilt, anger, and sadness. To make matters worse, doctors, perinatologists, medical geneticists, and genetics counselors had very few answers for the shaken family.

All she hoped for were answers- a reason why this was happening, a possible solution.

“But the appointments were severely disappointing in that regard, and if anything, the doctors created more questions for us than answers, and tainted that whole experience with so much negativity,” said Mcleod [1].

From Vanessa’s perspective, it felt as though the doctors were telling her it was all over. She and her husband were shocked when they suggested they terminate the pregnancy, saying that without arms and hands, the little girl would have no quality of life.

Vanessa asked her doctors about alternate solutions- War Amps, prosthetics, anything to give her some hope.

“The geneticist was quick to dismiss those options — she knew nothing about the War Amps, and she said prosthetics would never be an option, because she was missing both hands. I didn’t understand why.” [1]

Upon arriving at the hospital, Vanessa was hoping to have all her questions answered, but instead ended up adding to her already long list. She was scared, heartbroken, and unsure what to do.

Despite her fears, however, when she and her husband were left alone to decide how they wanted to move forward, her husband put all her fears to rest, at least for a moment.

“I’ll do whatever I have to do to take care of her,” he said to his wife. “I’ll build her anything. I want her. I’ll do whatever it takes. I’ll take care of her for the rest of her life.” [1]

Upper and Lower Limb Reduction Defects

The Mcleod family’s baby girl has what is referred to as “upper and lower limb reduction defects, which occurs when part of or the entire arm (upper) or leg (lower) of a fetus does not form completely during pregnancy. It is given the term “reduction” because a limb is reduced from its normal size, or missing entirely [2].

Unfortunately, the cause of limb reduction defects is unknown, but research has shown that certain behaviours or exposures can increase the risk that they will happen, including:

  • Exposure of the mother to certain chemicals or viruses while she is pregnant
  • Exposure of the mother to certain medications
  • Possible exposure of the mother to tobacco smoking (more research is needed) [2]

In some cases limb reduction defects can be associated with other birth defects such as heart defects, omphalocele (the intestines or other organs are stick outside the belly through the belly button [3], or gastroschisis (the baby’s intestines are outside of their body [4]) [2].

In the United States, around one in every 1900 babies are born with upper and lower limb defects. These babies and children will face a variety of difficulties depending on the location and type of reduction, which may include the following:

  • Difficulties with normal development such as motor skills
  • Needing assistance with daily activities such as self-care
  • Limitations with certain movements, sports, or activities
  • Potential emotional and social issues because of physical appearance [2]

She is Going to Teach Us So Much”

Despite the doctor’s warnings about quality of life, Vanessa and her husband were steadfast in their decision to bring their baby girl with no arms into the world, and today they cannot imagine life without their giggly, beautiful girl Ivy.

After processing her grief, Vanessa’s whole perspective shifted and now believes that she was chosen to be Ivy’s mother. She knew that she would fight for her daughter, advocate for her, and above all else, love her.

She started to realize that perhaps it wasn’t Ivy who needed her, but her who needed Ivy.

“I need her because she completes me, completes my family, in ways I never realized. She’s a balm to my soul, a salve to past wounds. Ivy will teach me things I didn’t think I needed to know, or maybe didn’t want to know.” [1]

Since the day she was brought home from the hospital, little Ivy has been meeting all of her milestones on time. She is happy, healthy, and loved.

Both of her parents understand that their little girl is going to face struggles in her life that others don’t have to deal with. They are worried for the day when other kids point and stare, or say unkind things. They are afraid they won’t have the right words to comfort and encourage her during these struggles, and are hoping that they will be able to instill confidence in their daughter as she grows up.

Ready To Love

Despite this, Ivy’s family is ready to love her and support her in every way they can. They have already connected with the Lucky Fin Project, a network for parents around the world who have children with limb differences, as well as War Amps, and countless other kids and their parents living with limb differences.

As the family continues to connect with organizations and people to support their daughter, Vanessa’s goal is to normalize her daughter’s differences so that the world can become a more inclusive place. That some people have blue eyes, some have brown, some have blonde hair, some have red, and some have hands, and some don’t.

“I hope I can always impart to her that her life has meaning, has value, and will always be filled with so much love, regardless of her appearance or abilities,” said Vanessa. “It’s all about her. And she is absolutely, unequivocally, undeniably perfect.” [1]

Heroic Mom Cradled Her 2 Young Kids As They Were Ripped From Their Bed And Thrown Into The Air By A Tornado

As many of you now know, a massive tornado ripped through Dawson Springs, Kentucky. What you may not know is that Breeana Glisson and her children, by some sort of miracle, survived. This is their amazing story.

Breeana had heard the emergency sirens blaring on Friday night, so she gather up her daughter, who is only 2 years old, and her son, who is 4. The mother then retreated to her bed for the night, a more central part of the home.

Breeana then wrapped her arms around her children to keep them safe and waited for the storm to pass. When the tornado hit Breeana’s home, the massive force caused the roof to collapse which crushed the mother’s arm.

“And then, after that, in a millisecond, we were no longer in the bed or in our house,” the mother said. “We were on the ground all the way up there somewhere.”[1]

The Scenes After The Tornado Had Passed

When she opened her eyes and looked around, she had no idea as to where she was. All she could do was stand up and shout for help. She did her best to find someone who would help her and her children.

The mother’s arm had been broken in that incident. She had also suffered several injuries on her face and her head. Her house was completely destroyed by the tornado.

Somehow, her children were safe and suffered no serious injuries.

It’s insane. I can’t believe that me and my kids are OK,” Breeana said. “I can’t believe that there’s no broken bones on my children. It’s crazy.”

She believes that being on the mattress saved their lives while they were flung across the air.

“We weren’t just flying through the air, we were on the bed,” she said.

More Details About The Other Victims

Breeana and her children were considered to be extremely lucky, but others did not have the same fate. As per Governor, Andy Beshear, the death toll was somewhere around 74, and this figure is expected to rise.

People all over the world have started to donate, to assist the victims of tornadoes.

Oaklynn Koon was only 2 months old and had passed away from her injuries, the day before.

Her family had asked the public to pray for their little daughter on Sunday, while she was still in the hospital. Her life support was later pulled out and the family confirmed her death on Monday.

De Andre Morrow was 28 years old and was amongst the 6 people, who were killed in the tornado which struck an Amazon warehouse in Edwardsville, Illinois.

His fiance, Chelsea Thomas, started an online appeal and mentioned how he wanted to become a “household name” through several business ventures. She stated, “He strived to make life better for his family, friends, and community.” A GoFundMe page was also started for Morrow and has currently raised more than $3,000.

Annistyn Rackley was only 9 years old and loved to dance and swim, as stated by her aunt, Sandra Hooker.

Annistyn, her two younger sisters, and her parents took shelter in a windowless bathroom on Friday, in their new home in Missouri. The girl’s mother texted a photo of the three girls smiling as they were in their “safe space”. Fifteen minutes later, the tornado struck their house and carried the family dozens of yards away, into a field. They were later found in the mud. Annistyn did not make it through but the others did so with severe injuries. [2]
